Birthday freebies

For birthdays and anniversaries, my husband and I have a tradition of going to a new restaurant or one that we rarely visit. It's a way to expand our culinary repertoire and treat ourselves to foods that we wouldn't normally cook at home. With that in mind, budget is always a factor. I try to choose from restaurants with coupons. The Entertainment Book is a FANTASTIC resource for those. (Thanks to my friend, Amy, for recently getting me the 2014 edition!)
In recent years, local restaurants have sent Happy Birthday postcards with discounts and in some cases, FREE meals for the birthday person.
My birthday is coming up next week and we're starting to figure out where we're going to dine. So that got me thinking... what restaurants and retailers reward people for being born? I was shocked at what I found. You could literally have every meal and snack for FREE on your birthday.
