Go Pack! for cheap

The Packers experience is priceless to many but does often carry a heavy burden to our wallets. Between transportation, parking, hotels, tickets, food, rental of seats and of course, Packers memorabilia, the costs can amount to hundreds of dollars for a half-day experience.
Here's some ways that you can cut out the expense of your season of Green N' Gold:

Tickets
Did you know that you can purchase tickets for face value or less than face value and help out local kids at the same time? That's right. The Green Bay area Boys and Girls Club receives ticket donations from season ticket holders and sells them as a fundraiser. And these aren't shabby seats either. They include regular seats, indoor club seats, outdoor club seats and seats in the brand new section. All money raised goes toward Club programming. Call 920-494-7090 ext. 1056 for more information.

Transportation
Go Green Bay Metro to get to the game. Every home game, the Green Bay Metro offers Fare Free rides on all Game Day Routes three hours before and three hours after the game. This is a fantastic way to not have to pay for that $20 or $25 parking spot and still get right up to the stadium.
Routes  include:
Cheesehead (Bay Park Mall area/ Oneida Casino)
QB Sneak (East Town Mall area to Lambeau)
Quick Slant (St. Norbert Campus in DePere to Lambeau)
Lambeau Leap (Downtown Green Bay to Lambeau)

Tailgating
Tailgating at home or in a parking lot but don't have a $64 million dollar player budget? Check out this site: http://www.myrecipes.com/holidays-and-occasions/tailgating-recipes/cheap-tailgating-recipes-10000001920988/

Tailgating near the stadium?
Check out one of these three options:
Tundra Tailgate Zone- in the east parking lot outside of the Oneida Nation gate of Lambeau. This climate controlled tent area has more than 15 big screens, live bands, alumni autographing sessions and FREE stuff giveaways. This is absolutely FREE whether you have a ticket or not. Food and beverages are for sale. This Zone opens up four hours prior to kickoff.

Bart Starr Plaza Tailgate Zone- in Bart Starr Plaza in front of the Resch Center. Enjoy all-you-can-eat hamburgers, brats, potato salad, chips, cheese curds, pickles, cookies, beer, red &white wine, and pop. It also includes one FREE vodka drink. All this for the price of $21 per adult and $15 per child. This opens three hours before the game. Tickets are for sale online or at the gate. My husband and I have done this as a Packer game ritual and loved it. The sheer amount of food fills us up enough to avoid or severely limit the over-priced stadium food during the game.

Brett Favre's Steakhouse Tailgate Party- at Brett Favre's Steakhouse. Enjoy unlimited food and beer. Food offerings include Sheboygan style brats, burgers, jambalaya, salads, cookies, beer, soda, and bloody Mary's. Musical entertainment is on hand. Need a souvenir for the game? They have those too. This event is $25 per adult and $15 per child. Doors open three hours before kickoff.
