Fresh, local, green and yummy!

Tomorrow is a day that I dream of all winter-long. It is the start of my favorite farmer's market. I will begin my foray into the wild and wonderful world of fresh fruits and veggies, warm bowls of booyah and that extra plant for my backyard garden.
Downtown Green Bay and Olde Main Street are kicking off the 2013 season with an opening bell ceremony starting at 6:55 a.m. tomorrow June 1 near the corner of Quincy and Pine Streets in downtown Green Bay. The market, which runs through the end of October, features over 100 vendors, live music, yummy treats like booyah, kettle korn and pies, and parking is FREE. Another cool freebie that attendees may remember from last year- free BayCare Health tote bags to carry all of your purchases.
If you can't make it to the Farmer's Market tomorrow, Northeast Wisconsin offers you all kinds of opportunities to become a localovore.
