Shop and rock out in the Central U.P. on June 1

When I was in the U.P. this weekend, I learned of some fun and inexpensive events coming up on Saturday, June 1.
First off, the Gwinn Sawyer Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting it's 16th annual Town Wide Rummage Sale beginning at 9 a.m. You can pick up the map of homes participating at Peter Nordeen Park in downtown Gwinn from 9- 11 am. Times for each sale vary. Refer to the Action Shopper for a complete list. Local food establishments will have special deals on everything from sauerkraut to pizza to baked goods.
Once you've snagged deals all morning/afternoon and your tummy is full of treats, work it off at the Fuel concert. Fuel will be at the Munising Ice Arena on June 1 at 8 p.m. Fuel has sold over 3.5 million albums in the U.S. You may know their songs "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)", "Shimmer" and "Innocent".
