Tall Ships Marquette

If you happen to be in Marquette this weekend, either for Hiawatha Fest or just visiting, be sure to go down to Lower Harbor to check out the Tall Ships event.

The Marquette Maritime Museum, along with the City of Marquette, the Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Marquette Downtown Development Authority are sponsoring a record four tall ships docked in Marquette’s Lower Harbor this weekend. Take a sail or deck tour or check out some of the ship vendors at the Marquette Yacht Club.

The Four Ships are The Peacemaker, S/V Denis Sullivan, Halie & Matthew and Marquette's Coaster II.

Here's the schedule:

Saturday, July 20th

S/V DENIS SULLIVAN will be offering two-hour sails at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM
Price is $40.00 for ages 12 and up, $35.00 for ages 11 and under. Call the Maritime Museum for reservations.
PEACEMAKER will be open for deck tours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Price is $5.00 for ages 12 and up, and not more than $20.00 for a family (What a deal!!!)
COASTER II is offering two-hour sails at 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM and a sunset sail from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Call them at 906-361-3668 or visit their website at http://www.superiorodyssey.com for more information and to make a reservation.
