Appleton Juneteenth Celebration

Celebrate diversity and good food in Appleton this Sunday at the Appleton Juneteenth Festival.
From 1 p.m.- 6 p.m., City Park on Franklin St. in Downtown Appleton will be home to a FREE festival featuring an acrobatic show with the Jesse White Tumbling Team, the Chicago Unity Band Unified Soul Band, a children's village and food and retail vendors.
This celebration is made possible by African Heritage, Inc, the City of Appleton and many sponsoring local businesses. The Children's Village will have storytelling, games, arts and crafts.
Juneteenth is a remembrance of the end of slavery in the United States. This year's celebration is particularly special being that it is the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
