U.P. kids can take flight for free

Do your kids dream of flying? Perhaps they'd like to try for free.
The Lake Superior Chapter 850 of the Experimental Aircraft Assoication will offer registration for free airplane flights tomorrow for kids ages 8- 17 from 10- 11:30 am at the Sawyer Airport General Aviation Terminal.
That terminal is located about a mile south of the passenger terminal. Flights last about 30 minutes and are offered through the Young Eagles program.
Please note that parents or legal guardians must complete a permission form before the flight.
Pilots will also teach kids how airplanes work. After the flight, each youth will receive a certificate making them an official Young Eagle and their name will be added to a list on display at the EAA Air Adventure Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Young Eagle status will also allow the youth to complete a free online Flight Training course offered by Sporty's.
