Children's Fishing Day in Seney

It's fishy, fun, and FREE. Tomorrow, June 24, Seney National Wildlife Refuge is hosting the 24th Annual Children's Fishing Day.
It's a day of fishing, activities, games, competition with prizes provided by local businesses, and even a FREE fish dinner for the whole family, followed by an awards ceremony.
Children need to register at the Visitor Center before fishing. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Seney Natural History Association do have a limited amount of fishing poles and bait available for participants. Fishing stations will be set up along the Refuge's Fishing Loop.
The whole family can participate in arts and crafts, activities and games starting at noon in the Visitor's Center. Fish entries will be accepted between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Visitor Center. The fish dinner will begin at 3:00 p.m.
